SSFL CHAMPIONSHIP RICE BOWL GAME
Florida Citrus Bowl Hosts Annual SSFL
Rice Bowl Championship Game

Story Line: Forhe 8 straight years, the Florida Citrus Bowl hosted the SSFL Championship Rice Bowl..
The Citrus Bowl hosted the Capital One Bowl and the Champs Sports Bowl featurng top teams in the NCAA and the home of the Professional UFL. It is an honor for our players and coaches to be a part of the Citrus Bowl Football tradition.
The first 2 years of the leagues existence the game was played on the site of the team with the highest seed, but the owners declared the game as the premier event of the SSFL and since then, have played there. That tradition grew in 2008 as the SSFL Hall of Fame was established and took place prior to the game in the Press Box reception room in 2008 and 2009. SSFL All Star Players are honored at half time as well, bringing together a "package" of past SSFL greats, present outstanding performers and future stars.
